Safeguarding Policy Statement
Thornton-Le-Dale Squash Club is committed to providing an environment in which
everybody participating in its activities has a safe and positive experience. The club
recognises that it has a responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children, young
people, and adults at risk and protect them from poor practice, abuse and bullying.
In order to achieve this Thornton-Le-Dale Squash club agrees to:
 Adopt and implement the practices and procedures outlined in the England
Squash documents – Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding
Adults Policy and Procedures. These documents are available on the England

and adhere to the practices and procedures outlined in the documents referred to
in the point above.
 Recognise that all people regardless of age, ability or disability, gender, race,
religion, ethnic origin, marital or transgender status have the right to be
protected from abuse and poor practice and can participate in an enjoyable and

organisation have undertaken the appropriate training and have had the relevant
DBS checks. Appropriate training will include the England Squash recommended
